The time has come. The long awaited Internet Invitational is being released as I type – from yesterday, 10/28-11/13. Six episodes in all and promoting $1.7 million in prize pool prize money available. I watched the first episode last night. It was a whopping 3+ hours long. I have a few thoughts.

Although I am an audience of one, YouTube suggests 1.6 million views. I’m unsure how many made it all 3 hours like I did though. This was a mere 22 hours after its posting on Bob Does Sports YouTube page. My take is a little bullish. I am deep down the rabbit hole of YouTube Golf. It is a general time suck in my life.

Let’s start with the episode release dates, seen below. I am beyond impressed. My light searching for leaks on who won in the end has come up empty-handed. I must say I am impressed that traps are sealed. I’m sure the NDA everyone signed was a doozie. Especially, given what I watched last night, some of the characters involved appear at times less than professional. I am looking side-eyes at you DODKing, The Duke, Sketch, and maybe one or two others.

Out of the gates, a little ‘stoolie controversary: Lacey is an interesting substitute player. She is a staffer or server at Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale, Missouri. This was when J.R. Smith no-showed due to a missed flight. She claims to be a mid-dingle-digit handicapper. El Presidente, Dave Portnoy, selected her over 10+ year loyal Barstool employee Hank Lockwood. Probably the right choice, sorry, not sorry, ole Hank.

Other bullet point take aways:

Great content, editted pretty well

BarstoolTrent continues to way under-perform versus his livelihood

Wesley Bryan is just a regular guy great golfer

+ A big focus of the content was on Luke Kwon who should be tarred and feathered for sleeping through his 09:30a tee time with PFT. UNLESS, it was staged for good content purposes.

The Duke, DODKing, and Sketch are hard to watch

I feel like a lot more controversy is a-comin’ based on legit golf rules issues.Team BobDoesSports is down 8-4 after the first(scramble format) going into the back (alternate shot format).

Frank Borelli is as understated annoying as ever
